Assignment: the elimination of unnecessary words. Pretend they cost a thousand bucks each. We’re slashing! We’re cutting!
This is one place I’d probably start: Team B held Team A to only 64 yards rushing in the second half.
That “held” is an indication that the rushing total wasn’t much. You don’t need the “only” there.
Team B held Team A to 64 yards rushing in the second half.
See? I do look for unnecessary words, I do.
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do, I do.
I’ve been saying for a long time that if I were a burlesque dancer or a hitter in the big leagues, the beginning of that song would be my walk-out music.
My headline? I can’t remember why I wrote it that why, but I left it. I’m still on the mend. Maybe there’s a deep meaning there I can’t remember. Maybe not.
Sending love. Protect your peace.
